I'm half way through a film of my friends shelves which is still in my camera, unfinished, so I thought I ought to carry on with some digital images to convey the type of photographs I'm going to be printing for next week.
I might use a tripod and consider the lighting a bit more but I don't want to create a false sense of anything in my images (is this possible?).

its weird how much you can learn or think you can learn about someone just by looking at their belongings. i like the messiness and personalized aspects of the student shelves but i would kind of like to see shelves belonging to people who have collected things over a longer timescale (e.g. granparent etc). obviously there is not much time left and this probably isnt achievable but if you were doing a longer scale project it would be interesting to see the contrast between a travelled old person's and a young person's just starting out. (not to say i dont like these images as they are though!). i think they work really well and you're portraying your friends worlds in an imitate way that captures our attention.
